Hervey Bay, QLD – Budding actors and curious locals are invited to step behind the scenes of the screen industry at an exciting new workshop designed for aspiring extras and background performers.
The Acting Extras Workshops will take place in Hervey Bay on Sunday 13th July 2025, at ZPAC Theatre offering a rare opportunity to learn directly from screen industry professionals. Participants will gain hands-on experience and insider knowledge about what it takes to work as a background actor in television, film, and streaming productions.

The amount of onset learning you can achieve and connections you can make will help set you up on a solid path in the industry. This hands-on, half-day workshop is designed for anyone who wants to explore working as a film or TV extra. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just looking to polish your on-set skills, you’ll learn:

* What casting directors look for in extras
* How to move, behave, and stay camera-ready on set
* Tips for getting noticed and getting rebooked
* Plus a Q&A with industry professionals!
No previous experience is necessary, and the workshops are open to participants aged 16 and up. All attendees will receive practical training, industry insights, and tips on how to get cast in real productions.
